Describe a long-term goal you want to achieve: Cue Card

Sample Answer: 1

My long-term goal is to become a teacher to positively influence the Indian education system, especially in rural areas. When I lived in Zira, Punjab, I witnessed how limited the opportunities for quality education are in economically backwards regions. I wanted to help shape young children for a brighter future.

My goal is to achieve a Bachelor of Education degree after getting my English Literature degree. I would love to join some governmental institutions to become a teacher so I can assist kids in becoming critical thinkers as well as make them understand the importance of education in their future. I also hope to create no-fee school clubs for children who struggle with money problems. so that they never suffer a setback.

Teaching is not my career, but a cause. I believe that education can solve problems like poverty and unemployment. I want to play a role in this mission.

One of my long-term goals is to become a police officer and to contribute to creating a safe environment and a crime-free society. Growing up in Amritsar, Punjab, I was always inspired by the discipline and dedication of police officers. However, I also noticed challenges like corruption, lack of trust in the system, and rising crime rates & rape cases, which fueled my passion to make a difference.

To achieve this, right now I am focusing on preparing for the UPSC (Civil Services Exam) to qualify for the Indian Police Service (IPS). I have been maintaining my physical fitness through regular workouts and studying subjects like political science, which are essential for excelling in this field. Beyond enforcing law and order, I want to address systemic issues like violence against women and ensure public safety by promoting community policing initiatives.

Being a police officer is not just a career for me—it’s a responsibility to protect people and uphold justice. I aspire to become a role model, inspiring others to trust the system and work towards a better society. This goal requires years of hard work, but I am confident that my determination and commitment will lead me to success.
