I lent how to bake from my mother. She had a passion for baking, and she was used to baking cakes and cakes for friends and for us. We grew up knowing that my mother was a good baker. I used to love helping her out, especially when her Women’s club friends were coming over or during holidays such as Easter, Christmas and New Year. She used to collect recipes from magazines, books, and newspapers and follow the instructions step by step. She called me to help out since she had discovered that l had a passion for her hobby .l would help her measure the ingredients and prepare the baking tins. I feel she gave me a life skill because now l bake cakes for sale, and l am getting an extra income to help out in our household .l am forever grateful.
