My husband and I recently celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on the 19th of January this year, and early hours of the day, we already wished ourselves a happy anniversary. I was at home that day, and around 11:30 am my doorbell rang and when I opened the door it was a young lady from a famous cake outlet in town and a box containing red velvet cake was inside bearing the sender’s name Cheta who’s my best friend. Wow, I couldn’t contain my joy; in fact, I was on cloud nine. I had to call her to show that I am eternally grateful. Yeah, the cake was so special to me, not just because it’s my anniversary but because I love red velvet cake and had longed to eat and eventually, it was my first time tasting the yummy cake.

Answer- Well, talking about special Indian food, actually I don’t have an idea of their special meals, but I do know that in the country where I come from, despite our cultural diversity, we do eat rice as a special festive meal. However, culturally, Igbo people are known to be lovers of pound yam with egusi, Yoruba are known to have amala and ewedu as their special food and Hausa’s special food be nunu.

Answer- Well, honestly, special days are just meant to be special. Therefore I consider any expenses on food imports. Special days are mostly holidays, so people try to make the most out of season. They tend to eat varieties of healthy meals, and that takes money. Some even invite extended family members and friends to come to visit them in their homes, and they have to be well entertained.

Question 4:- Do you think it’s good to communicate when eating with your family?

Answer- Yeah, it’s a good idea. Mealtime is always when most families come together, and it’s a nice time to talk about how yummy the meal is. So, I reckon it’s a great time to talk, although moderately and not a long detailed discussion.
