Describe a Time You Went to A Crowded Place
- Where Is It?
- When You Went There?
- With Whom You Went There?
- And Explain How You Felt About Being There.
I went to witness the president’s political campaign in Lagos, Nigeria. The flag bearer of the People Democratic Parties is a famous man, Mr Abubakar Thompson, who fought for the liberation of our nation from the colonial masters.
My high school history teacher always mentioned this man, so I really liked to see him in person. The only opportunity I had was the day he came to our city for the campaign.
The campaign was to start by 2 p.m. in the afternoon, but I went very early in the morning, around 7 a.m., so I could secure a front seat in the venue and have a proper view of the man I had heard so much about in our history class.
I went there alone because I didn’t want to miss this rare opportunity to see him.
It was a great moment. At first, I easily recognized him because I had seen his picture in our history textbook. His speech was indeed motivating. I went home so happy that I was in the campaign venue.
