Traffic congestion has become the biggest problem in our city 🚗🚦. As the population of our city increases, so too does the number of vehicles, creating significant traffic congestion.

I would like to share my views briefly on this topic. I live in Mumbai city, where the population exceeds one crore.

The roads in our city are not wide enough to meet the demand, and traffic on roads has been increasing rapidly due to the large population.

These narrow roads do not facilitate the movement of two vehicles side by side, preventing traffic from flowing in two lanes.

Additionally, pedestrians crossing these narrow roads contribute to slowing traffic speed, which increases the chances of jams.

Furthermore, with the rising trend of individualism, some people have started using their private cars instead of carpooling. The children of some of the wealthiest families also drive cars on the roads for fun, further exacerbating traffic congestion.

Another significant cause of traffic congestion is the lack of public transport 🚌🚆. Most people would prefer to travel by public transport to reduce traffic.

However, due to insufficient public transport options, there is too much rush, forcing some people who need to reach their destinations, like their offices, on time to prioritize their personal vehicles. This has led to an increase in the number of vehicles on the road, further worsening traffic congestion.

The main reasons for this increasing problem are narrow roads and a lack of public transportation. Traffic congestion could be alleviated if the government focused on this issue and looked more closely to find additional ways to alleviate this problem.

If proper measures are not taken, the day is not far when it will become impossible to move even a step on these congested roads.
