Describe Something that Surprised You and Made You Happy Cue Card

I would like to describe something that amazed me and made me joyous. It happened last year when my birthday was approaching.

I have been thinking of how to celebrate this day in a grand style, but I was short of cash. The money I intended to use to celebrate it was diverted to an unplanned project. I had to accept that I would just celebrate it on a low key.

On D-day, very early in the morning, I was still in the bedroom sleeping. Just then, I had a beautiful sound and music in the living.

I was so curious to know what it was and where the music was coming from that I quickly got up and barged into the parlour.

Then I saw my husband, my siblings, my colleagues at work and trumpeters. One of my siblings was holding a big cake, and my husband was holding a beautiful throw pillow with my picture; I was shocked.

I didn’t know when I started crying because I wasn’t expecting it. The music and merriments continued, and I quickly adjusted to the tones and celebration.

I took pictures, and I cut the cake. It was one of the happiest days of my life, and I won’t forget it because it made me so happy.
