IELTS Speaking Part 1 ( Accommodation ) Questions With Answer

Question 1:- Do you live in a house or an apartment/flat?

Answer- I live in a two-bedroom apartment.

Question 2:- Can you describe the place where you live?

Answer- Yeah, of course, I live in the centre of the city of Ahmedabad, and as I said, I live in a two-bedroom apartment. My building consists of 12 floors. I live on the 12th floor. My house is considered to be the penthouse because I am on the topmost floor, and I have my terrace included.

Question 3:- What do you like about living there? What do you like about your flat?

Answer- I like that I am in the centre of the city my apartment location is in the centre of the city I don’t have to go too far for something, for example, I don’t have to travel long for the railway station or for the airport I think I like about my flat is it’s very compact whenever I want to go out I just lock the main door, and that’s it, and my house is safe that’s what I like about my flat.

Question 4:- Which is your favourite room in your home? Why?

Answer- My favourite room in my home is the last one because that’s the room which is allotted to me and I really don’t have anything to add to it, but I like my room.

Question 5:- Which room does your family spend the most time in?

Answer- As a family, we spend most of our time in the drawing-room as we have only one television at home, and that is in the drawing-room, so we as a family spend most of the time there.

Question 6:- What can you see from the windows?

Answer- Honestly, I see the whole of the Ahmedabad from my windows because, as I said, I live on the 12th floor, which is very high from the ground, so yeah, I can literally see this city.

Question 7:- Would you change anything about your home? Why/why not?

Answer- Honestly, I don’t want to change anything because I’m so comfortable in my home right now as it is very compact and everything in my home is really fitting.

Question 8:- Would you like to move to a different home in the future?

Answer- Probably in the next five years, we are thinking of moving to a bigger apartment because now we live in a 2BHK apartment and in future, we might shift to a 4BHK Apartment.

Question 9:- What sort of accommodation would you most like to live in?

Answer- I choose an apartment over a bungalow because safety is my concern, and with the apartment, I feel safer than living in a bungalow because there is a security gate in my apartment building. I have cameras installed in my lift cameras outside my main door, so I feel safe in my apartment.
