In many cities, problems related to overpopulation are becoming more common. Some governments are now encouraging businesses and individuals to move out of cities to rural areas. Do the advantages of this trend outweigh the disadvantages?
Nowadays, overpopulation is becoming more popular in most cities, and this brings some problems with it forcing some city authorities to advocate for businesses and individuals to migrate out of these overcrowded areas to rural areas. In my opinion, the benefits of this gesture outweigh the drawbacks.
To begin with, the majority of people are migrating from the countryside to cities in search of better jobs and education. This leaves many cities with no option except to be overpopulated and, at the same time, bring more problems, for example, health-related at most. When people are overcrowded in a certain place, hygiene is of greater importance to prevent a lot of ailments that come as a result of poor hygiene.
To solve the issue of overpopulation in many cities, the government should encourage for migration of businesses and individuals to rural areas where it is spacious. This will help in reducing the population in many cities and also helps in limiting the problems that come along with overpopulation. To exemplify, if a company that has 10 000 employees moves out of a city, the city becomes less dense and less polluted, improving the health standards because the employees will obviously take their families together with them.
Although there are some disadvantages of migrating out of cities, these do not outweigh the benefits. Some disadvantages of migration are that some of the customers for the businesses will not follow, making sales low in the rural areas.
In conclusion, this essay discusses why the advantages of encouraging some businesses and individuals to move out of cities are more than the disadvantages
