It has been observed that in some nations people are compelled to take retirement when they are at such age, which is considered to be their retirement age. It has advantages as it will give a chance to youngsters to occupy those positions and disadvantages like their capability to do their work is completely ignored even if they are physically and mentally fit.
The first advantage of getting people retired at a certain age is that it will give them a chance to talented youngsters to occupy that position. To elaborate, when older are retire from their respective jobs, youngsters can make use of this opportunity. They will not have to face unemployment, and they can exhibit their qualities as well as their potentiality in their job, which can be helpful for the companies where they work or it will also benefit a nation to get innovative ideas that can facilitate a country’s status. For example, in politics, when aged politicians are retired and their place is filled with young minds, the shape of a country starts to change. They bring many facilities to people in all spheres of life as well as influence others to choose politics to make their country prosperous and a pleasant one.
The disadvantage of retiring senior members from their jobs is that it disheartens them when they are retired, even though they are able to do their work well. To explain older adults have collected years of experience, so they need help to leave their place. They do their work in the same way as they used to do in the past, so retiring from their job breaks their heart because they are fit both mentally and physically for their careers. Thus, their capabilities are ignored, and getting older becomes the biggest issue for taking retirement. For instance, in private or public sectors, personnel are retired although they are capable and experienced, their age only allows them to retain their position. Thus, an experienced person is retired from their job, and the position is given to a fresher candidate. This thing makes them feel sad and their whole life experience is of no value.
In conclusion, it is clear that when people retire at a certain age, it benefits youngsters as they give a new shape to a company or a nation with their innovative ideas or good education. On the other hand, it also shatters the minds of older adults. Despite being healthy both physically and mentally, they have to take retirement.
