In Today’s Digital Age, Anyone with A Smartphone Can Capture and Share Photographs. This Accessibility to Photography Diminishes the Value of Professional Photographers. To What Extent Do You Agree or Disagree?
📱 In this contemporary world, the development of smartphones with high-pixel camera resolution has had an adverse impact on professional photographers. I largely support this statement due to various arguments. The following paragraphs will discuss both the positive and negative points related to this approach.
📸 To begin with, it is common for most individuals to have smartphones and use them regularly. Smartphones with highly featured cameras are frequently arriving on the market. They make capturing photographs effortless for users. Consequently, people avoid hiring professional photographers for their photoshoots because they already have high-definition cameras on their mobile devices. For instance, photography experts are not always easily available to customers, and if they are, their fees are often not affordable. Hence, clients prefer advanced mobiles for their photoshoots.
📷 Additionally, the younger generation is very passionate about photography. They would like to enrol in institutions offering various photography-related courses. However, these courses are expensive and not easily accessible to most students. Therefore, students follow their passion by using smartphones. For example, one of my friends was very interested in photography and wanted to become a professional in this field, but he could not receive proper training due to his poor financial condition. However, he became a successful photographer with the help of an advanced mobile phone.
📉 Although there are some merits to smartphone cameras, they also have drawbacks. The main one is the variation in the quality of pictures taken by mobile phones and digital cameras. The standard of photos captured by professional cameras is better than those taken by mobiles. So, if people need high-quality pictures, they must hire a professional photographer. During special occasions, people want to make and capture memories. To preserve these memories for several years, the quality of the captured photos must be good, necessitating professional photographers.

🎓 To conclude, these days, anyone can capture and share photographs using a smartphone. This is cheaper and more accessible to a larger number of people compared to professional photography. Because of this, I agree to a great extent that this trend will not completely but largely reduce the value of professional photographers.
