It Is Important for People to Take Risks, in Both Their Professional Lives and Personal Lives (2)

People need to take risks in both their professional and personal lives. Do the advantages of taking these risks outweigh the disadvantages?

Risk-taking is vital in our day-to-day lives, professions, jobs and careers. Although the most apparent drawback in risk-taking is a failure which mainly results from a lack of proper assessment and planning, the benefits overshadow the disadvantages as the risk can pay off and even if it doesn’t, we end up learning from it.

Most often than not, people tend to stay in their comfort zones without trying to explore other options because they fear failing. Taking bold steps have disadvantages, but they often fail when we don’t do a proper risk assessment to exclude or plan for factors that can fail. A few years back, I wanted to invest in cryptocurrency, and I had someone do it for me instead of assessing the market by myself; I ended up losing all my money without any profit. It was pretty painful and heartbreaking.

But if we keep looking at the possibility of our decisions and risk-taking ending in failure, we cannot progress in our daily life and occupation. In my opinion, I believe the benefits are more than the disadvantages. We need to explore new options and ideas after proper assessment and planning. Most times, these risks pay off, and we reap the benefits, but sometimes, when they don’t, we can learn from our failures. When I lost almost all my savings in my previous investments, I was extra careful in the next one. After that, I consulted one of my friends whose investment paid off, and in the end, I finally reaped the benefits.

Taking bold steps and decisions is vital for progressing in life and profession. Therefore let’s take risks after careful planning and assessment, as we’ll benefit more from them.
