Question 1:- Does it rain much in India? (Where? When?)

Answer:- Yes, there is much rain in some parts of India like Chirapunji. There is heavy rain, and other areas where less rainfall occurs are arid areas. Areas such as in Rajasthan.

Question 2:- Does it rain much in your hometown? (Include how often)

Answer:- No, in my hometown, there is no heavy rain usually when there is a monsoon season. At that time there was heavy rain. The climate of my hometown is moderate neither there is too cold nor too hot, and rain often comes occasionally.

Question 3:- In what season does it rain the most? OR When (in what month/season) does it rain most in your hometown?

Answer:- Well, rain mostly comes in the month of July in the summer season. It is known as monsoon season, but now due to global warming, the frequency of rain has also reduced, so sometimes it comes in the month of July or in late August.

Question 4:- What about the other parts of India? OR In which season does it rain most in other parts of India?

Answer:- Other parts of India like Cherrapunji, where there is heavy rain throughout the year. Some areas don’t get rain, like in Rajasthan and in Uttarakhand, rainfall occurs mostly.

Question 5:- Would you prefer to have more rain or less rain (in your hometown)?

Answer:- Well, I would prefer less rain in my hometown because my hometown face a lot of problem due to heavy rain because water gets collected at one place and vehicles face a lot of trouble due to heavy rain. Mosquitoes breed because there is no good drainage system.

Question 6:- Do you like rainy days? OR How do you feel on rainy days? ORDo you feel sad on rainy days?

Answer:- Well, I feel very happy when there is rain because when raindrops fall on my face, I really feel happy and plants and other trees also look new when rain falls on them, so it makes me happy.

Question 7:- How does rain affect different people’s moods? OR How does rain affect people’s lives?

Answer:- Rain has a great effect on people’s life because people’s all activities get suspended. They can’t go outside due to waterlogging. Moreover, they don’t get electricity because of the power outage that happens due to heavy rain. So heavy rain really disturb their whole activities. If people make a plan to hang out with their near and dear ones, then they have to postpone all their activities.

Question 8:- Do you prefer rainy days or sunny days?

Answer:- I prefer both because in the summer season I love rainfall because it makes me comfortable and I can escape from warm weather such as sweating, but in the winter season, I love sunny weather because sunny days really make me relax. I enjoy the sunshine, and it’s a good source of taking Vitamin C in sunny weather, especially in the winter season because people enjoy sunbathing.

Question 9:- What do you do on rainy days (or on a rainy day)?

Answer:-  Well, I do alot of things on a rainy day. I make fritters and eat them with my family. Moreover, when there is rain, I also make a paper boat to memorize my childhood days. It’s great fun on a rainy day.

Question 10:- What do you usually do when it rains (or when it starts to rain) and you are outside?

Answer:- When there is rain, and fortunately I am out outside, then I, first of all, try to seek shelter and afterwards I make a plan what to do the next, and I usually prefer to go to a restaurant and eat snacks.

Question 11:- Do you think rain is good? (Why?)

Answer:- Yes, I think rain is good for those who love nature and would like to take a bath in the rain and relish their past memories like making paper boats, splashing water on each other but for those, like farmers, so rain is not good for their farming because they face financial loss The people who enjoy it consider it good and those whose earning is based on farming, they considered it is not suitable especially when their crop is getting ready for harvesting.

Question 12:- How does rain affect (life in) your country?

Answer:- Life becomes standstill in the absence of rain even in some parts of India people don’t get drinking water, so their life depends on rainfall. It has a great impact on the life of people.

Question 13:- Is there any part of India where it doesn’t rain much? (Where?) OR Is there an even distribution of rain throughout India?

Answer:- Yes, in desert areas or arid areas, there is not much rain. Rain comes rarely. So people face alot of problems like they don’t get drinking water and then they have to collect water from far distance placed. Even farming is out of the question in those areas.

Question 14:- What effects can a shortage of rain (a drought) have on people’s lives?

Answer:- Due to the shortage of rain, many crops don’t get water some time there is drought, and even people die. People lead an unhealthy lifestyle because their daily activities are greatly affected. So they start to live in unhygienic conditions and get a victim of many diseases.

Question 15:- Can you remember any time when it rained particularly heavily in your hometown? (When?)

Answer:- Well, last month in the month of June, there was heavy rain, and it came before time. I really can’t forget that day because at that time I was outside with my family, and we were visiting our one of relatives. So we had to get stuck someplace till evening because the water was flowing on the roads and there was no any kind of way to escape from the condition.

Question 16:- Does rain ever affect transportation in your hometown? (How?)

Answer:- Yes, rain has greatly affected transportation in my hometown. Buses don’t run when there is heavy rain because the roads are not well built and there are many pits where the water collects so sometimes when the bus starts to run and sometimes it gets stuck at that place, and then human beings get injured.

Question 17:- Do you think the seasons have changed in recent years, compared to the past? (Why? How?)

Answer:- Yes, seasons have greatly changed If I compare it with the past time because in the past time there was a balance like six months there remains summer and the next six months cold weather starts but now the summer days are longer than the winter days, and people hardly face winter, but they are extremely facing warm weather. It is all due to global warming.
