Question 1:- Do you often go to the library?

Yes, I frequently visit the Library. I love to read; in fact, I’m a bookworm. Visiting the Library does not allow for distractions. For example, three days ago, I visited the Library, and I was able to concentrate on what I was reading without any distractions.

What I usually do in the Library is to read. I ensure I take my books and textbooks along because you may only see some of the books you need in the Library. For instance, 3 days ago, I visited the Library and read for 4hours; at some point, I discovered I needed to take a break, so I took a walk. It was really helpful.

Yes, Nigerian kids love going to the Library. It may not be a public or private library, but it is normally within the school building. In my secondary school, we used to observe a period in my curriculum called “prep. ” During this hour, we went to the Library to read and study. Many schools incorporate this method into their curriculum, and it encourages many students to read.

Question 5:- What are some advantages of borrowing books from a library rather than buying them?

One can’t buy all the books in this world even if the parents can afford them; at some point, one will still need to borrow books. I think borrowing books from the Library is beneficial because if you lend a book, you can quickly return it and borrow another one. In addition to this, lending books enables one to be serious and concentrate on reading the book within the allotted time, whereas one may not take it seriously if one buys the books.

Question 6:- How do you think libraries have changed with the advancement of technology?

I believe the Library has developed due to the advancement of technology. In the past, all we saw in the Library were well-arranged books. But now, you see computers in the Library, and one can even read a particular book on the computer. Also, CCTV cameras are now installed, which are being used to monitor students who behave inappropriately or distract other students. All these have helped the Library grow faster.

No, I have never participated in a library event. But a very close friend of mine did, and she told me it was fun. In fact, she won several awards. I look forward to participating in it one of these days.

The advantages of a library in the community are numerous. Firstly, it enables people to read and assimilate faster. Some people can’t read in a noisy environment, so a library will be the perfect place for them to read and absorb faster. Secondly, some people are not financially buoyant. Some people can’t afford to buy books because they don’t have money, so what they do is to come to the Library to lend books. For instance, there was a time when I needed to read something important in Miles’s textbook, and I didn’t have money at that particular time to buy it; what I did was visit the Library to borrow it.
