Some People Think that A Sense of Competition in Children Should Be Encouraged

Some people think that a sense of competition in children should be encouraged. Others believe that children who are taught to co-operate rather than compete become more useful adults. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is argued that a sense of competitiveness must be built in juveniles to stimulate them for further life. On the contrary, others say that instead of rivalry, nippers must be equipped with the feeling of Cooperation to turn them into productive people. In my opinion, combined efforts are really rewarding than cultivating a sense of competition in them. It will turn them into real human beings.

First off, those who say that sense of competition should be developed in children to stimulate them for adult life. Because if they have an opposition spirit, they will get success immediately. In other words, they will do hard labor to achieve their goal as well as it will cultivate in them some other essential skills such as punctuality, honesty, and children will get rid of false fears and develop self-confidence. Therefore, these skills are essential for their further life. Besides, competitions draw out the best in a child. When any learners take part in any competition; then, he or she gets aware of his/her strength and deficiencies. So, these contests assist juveniles in recognizing their talent and build their career in that one. Thus these trials are indispensable.

On the other hand, people say that children should be equipped with the feeling of Cooperation rather than competition. They consider that no two individuals are alike. Some are quick learners, while some are restarted. So, contests can create many troubles for the child who gets fail to win. Thus nippers build diffidence, and they develop an inferiority complex. This inferiority complex is a great hurdle in the harmonious development of a child. So, children should develop a feeling of Cooperation. They will be able to learn valuable life lessons when they are on the team. They will help others as well as pain tolerance. These skills will help them in their later periods of life. They will be a productive citizen of their society. As it is believed that unhealthy competition not only kills the children from inside, but it also makes them handicapped. Whereas collaborated efforts assist pupils in being good human beings, which is mandatory to lead a cheerful life.

To conclude, thus, it is ostensible that children should be prepared to develop how to co-operate with others to become a good member of society. Also, along with it, they will be able to learn other essential skills such as tolerance, honesty as well as punctuality.
