Some Think that Governments Should Tax Unhealthy Foods to Encourage People to Eat Healthier

Some think that governments should tax unhealthy foods to encourage people to eat healthier. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The importance of unhealthy food should be a tax more to encourage people to eat healthier, was always debatable has now become more controversial with the people calming it is beneficial while others reject the notion. The substantial influence of this trend has sparked controversy over the potential impact in the recent year. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with this notion. This essay will elaborate on my views on favouring the negative impact of this trend, and thus, it will lead to a logical conclusion.

Analyzing the statement and explaining further the first and the foremost reason is that every person has their own taste of food which they take according to it, and people are also aware that by taking which food harms most and which not. Adding another point is that unhealthy food comes under fast food and oily food, which is very famous and in high demand by the people. A recent study has shown that Domino and KFC are leading the market on top and coming to the point this restaurant also helps by paying taxes at a high rate.

In today’s generation, people are conscious of their health as they try to make healthy food always, but there is no harm if you take pizza once a month or twice a month; it is that it should not take on a regular basis. So I do not think that government should tax unhealthy food as this kind of food helps at a certain time when you feel hungry, or you can give a treat to your friend. For example, a person cannot go to watch a movie by carrying home to watch a movie where he can have a diet coke and popcorn and enjoy the movie.

To conclude, according to the argument aforementioned that one can reach the conclusion that there is no worth in putting a tax on unhealthy food. As I have said earlier, people are aware of health, so they know what they should take and when they should take it again, coming to the point taking pizza once or twice a month does not affect their health.
