Students Should Be Primarily Taught Academic Subjects so That They Can Pass Exams, and Practical Skills Such as Cooking Should Not Be Taught. to What Extent Do You Agree or Disagree?
In the present era, practical skills are as important as academic subjects. It is generally believed by some people that academic subjects should be focused rather than practical skills. Well, I agree to a huge extent with the above notion and would like to support my stand in the forthcoming paragraphs.
To commence with the agreement side, the first and foremost reason is academic projects are the need of the hours. Students can get better placement according to their exam results, which are fully based on academic performance. Moreover, professions like management, research and many more need only academic knowledge.
Now, taking into account the side of disagreement, the first reason is that everyone has different goals and priorities. Jobs based on academic performance are limited in number, so everyone cannot achieve white-collar jobs. Due to that reason, the Indian government have drafted the ‘New Education Policy 2020’, which supports not only academic education but also practice skills like wood carving, pottery and many more. Moreover, our epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana supported both kinds of education equally.
The second reason is that it is financially beneficial. Good practical skills help you to be an employer. Furthermore, it can be a source of your passive income.
Putting everything into a nutshell, academic education is essential to be an employee whereas, whereas you can be an employee through your good practical skills, which are also supported in our holy epics.
