My hometown is Ahmedabad, and it is situated on the bank of the river Sabarmati. The river originates from Rajasthan and then comes to Gujrat, and it meets the Arabian sea in Khambhat. This river is an important source of water for residents of Ahmedabad.

Also, the river water is used by farmers for farming. Because of our PM, Modi riverfront park is developed at the bank of Sabarmati. This park has a children’s play area, and the park contains different flora.

People can also rent bicycles and go cycling on the river bank. Many youngsters go cycling every morning. It is a very peaceful experience just to sit beside the river, and many old people enjoy their evening watching the sunset near the river.

Boating facilities are also available. And many festivals, such as flower shows and kite festivals, are organised at riverfront park. Sabarmati river is also famous because of our freedom fighter, Mahatma Gandhi.
