Talk About Someone Who Recently Moved from Their Hometown to Another Place
- When and Where This Person Moved?
- How Do You Know This Person?
- What This Person Brought?
- And how This Person Felt About Moving?
Since I was 13 years old, I have grown up with my friends. We live in the same place and attended the same school.
Of course, we go by walking to school. However, in the last two months, my friend’s family decided to move out of our county.
This was because her father, who works as a Manager in a bank, found a new job. I feel sad, so I spoke to my friend about her feelings regarding the new house, and she was very excited.
This broke me down because I assumed she didn’t enjoy being with me. After they reached their new home, my friend sorted out all her new stuff, and she sent me a picture of it.
The room is very wonderful and bigger than her old bedroom. Even though I don’t like that my best friend lives far away, I am happy to see her enjoying and feeling comfortable in her room.
She used to share a small room with her sisters in the old house. I dropped by their home last week; it’s a very wonderful house with a big garden, and there are a lot of shops nearby.
Part 3 Questions
Question 1: Why do people move to a new home?
There are so many reasons behind that. For example, I lived with my family in a small home, and we felt uncomfortable there, so after a while, my father bought a new house, which was very old but big, with a lot of rooms. Everyone has their own room, and we have a big living room with a study, which is very necessary. That changed their life. It’s not just for distance but also for privacy; everyone needed privacy in their room to be allowed to do something without interference from another person.
Question 2: What problems do people face after moving to a new place?
There are plenty of problems. For instance, when I moved to our new house with my family in 2018, I still can’t find a driver to take me to my job because the prices in this area are very expensive. The drivers’ fees were considered a threat to new people; they just charge you without any flexibility. Unlike the area of my old house, where I didn’t have any issues with transport; the taxi drivers are very kind.
Question 3: What are the disadvantages of living in the same place?
To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, having neighbours who are familiar with each other means you can go outside walking or by car, and nothing will interrupt you, unlike in some places where you might feel afraid of strangers at night. On the other hand, I think it is very good for people to move to another place. It’s not just for their financial benefit but also for their mental health. Regular changes of scenery are significant and can help them in the future.
Question 4: Is it good to move to a new place frequently? Why?
Well, as I said, it’s great, but it should be occasional. Once in a blue moon, I mean people cannot move to a different place every three or four years if they have a child. For example, many parents deal with their children when they choose to move to a new house. They always find it difficult, and their children cannot adapt easily, especially if there isn’t any area for playing or children of the same age as them. This could prevent them from changing their place constantly.
