Television and Radio IELTS Speaking part 1 Questions With Answers
Question 1. What kind of entertainment do you prefer, TV or radio? (Why?)
Answer – Well, I prefer television compared to radio for entertainment because television has visuals, but radios only have audio.
Question 2. How are radio programs and television programs different?
Answer – I think radio programs are only to listen or you can only analyse things through listening whereas you can see through things and understand better in television by seeing and hearing both at a time.
Question 3. What programs do you like to watch/listen to?
Answer – Frankly speaking, I loved mostly watching the series and movies a lot, but now I am more interested in the world’s news.
Question 4. When do you watch TV/listen to the radio?
Answer – Actually, I watch television around prime times where I can get information about the latest news of the world and different movies are also streamed at that moment.
Question 5. In India, has television/radio changed much in recent years?
Answer – yes, of course, from the days of Doordarshan to these days of different tv channels agencies, and we can see a dramatic change in the television sector. There are varieties of stuff to watch according to the choice of audience.
Question 6. How do you think TV/radio broadcasts in India could be improved?
Answer – I am afraid I don’t have keen knowledge, but I could suggest removing biases by the news channels and providing proper information to the people through such broadcasting media would be a very much great step.
Question 7. Do you prefer TV news or news on the radio? (Why?)
Answer – I actually love tv news because we can hear as well as see the information provided by the broadcasters. It helps for a better understanding of the incident that is happening and the information that is tried to convey by the news anchors.
Question 8. Do you watch programs on the TV or your cell phone?
Answer – mostly, I prefer to watch content on tv because the experience of watching content on tv is far better than the experience on a cellphone. However, it is more portable, but the satisfaction of the huge screen and the better sound can be only provided by television.
Question 9. Do you like watching the same kind of programs all the time?
Answer – It’s an obvious no because watching a similar kind of content is monotonous. It doesn’t provide any surprises and satisfaction as watching different genres of content. So, I actually prefer different genres of content to watch.
Question 10. Did you talk with your friends about the program you watched?
Answer – Yes, definitely. I usually talk about the program that I viewed recently. Moreover, we discussed the events of that program which we watched recently and talked about the tricky and suspenseful parts. It helps us to understand more deeply the content we watch.
