The chart below shows multi-year expenses (in $ million) in the same nation on five different items in 18 (in 2010 and 2014). Look at the data and try to select and announce where the important highlights are.


That chart illustrates the expenditure (in $ million) of several years of a country on price-distinct commodities in both 2010 and 2014. Overall, it is apparent that food accounted for the highest spending, whereas books were the least commodity to spend money on.

In detail, in 2010 and 2014, the food saw the highest expenditure at around 3700$ million and nearly 4500$ million, respectively. Clothes which happened to be the second highest, accounted for the same spending in both years at exactly 2500& million. Also, while the country’s expenses on the smartphone in 2010 reached 2000$ million, the expenditure in 2014 pealed at a higher rate of about 2700$ million.

Moreover, Textiles accounted for nearly 2000$ million in the country in 2010, whereas in 2014, the country purchased 2000$ million worth of toiletries. The last commodity which sails the least expenditure was booked. While the country bought exactly 1000$ million pieces of books in 2010, buying of books in 2014 was much lower than 500$ million.
