Sample Answer: The Diagram Below Shows the Process of Using Water to Produce Electricity

The diagram illustrates the stages of the production of electricity using water.

Overall, hydroelectric power generation begins with the evaporation of water from the sea and consists of six stages which culminate in the distribution of electricity to the houses.

The process begins with water from the sea evaporating as the sun shines on the sea. They condense to form clouds, which in turn give rain. As the rain falls, the water level in the reservoir next to the dam rises.

The dam’s valve opened to allow a flow of water to drive the turbine. The turbine generates electricity through High voltage cables to the transformer station. Concurrently, the water goes directly back into the reservoir.

The generated electricity is carried from the power station by the underground cables to supply the powerhouses, hospitals and schools.
