The graph below gives information on the population of turtles in India from 1980 to 2012The line graph illustrates the total number of four species of turtles in India between 1980 and 2012. Overall, it is apparent that all types stood at 100 at the beginning of the given period. In addition, Olive Ridley turtles are the most common birds, while Leatherbacks are rare.

In a more detailed analysis, Olive Ridley and Leatherback turtles’ proportions followed almost opposite patterns throughout the year. Olive Ridley’s rate experienced a steady increase despite the fluctuations and reached a population of about 130 in 2012. On the other hand, Leatherback turtles’ index decreased gradually and hit a through of about 50 at the end of the given period.

Turning to all species of turtles, they both followed a somewhat similar pattern. That is, they evened out throughout the duration. However, all species are more than Green turtles.
