The graph below gives information on the population of turtles in India from 1980 to 2012. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and comparing where relevant.
In a more detailed analysis, Olive Ridley and Leatherback turtles’ proportions followed almost opposite patterns throughout the year. Olive Ridley’s rate experienced a steady increase despite the fluctuations and reached a population of about 130 in 2012. On the other hand, Leatherback turtles’ index decreased gradually and hit a through of about 50 at the end of the given period.
Turning to all species of turtles, they both followed a somewhat similar pattern. That is, they evened out throughout the duration. However, all species are more than Green turtles.
