📊 The bar graph provides information on the number of elephants existing in nine Asian countries—Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and China—from 1994 to 2007.
Overall, at the beginning of the period, the number of elephants in India was the highest, while in China, it was the lowest. By the end of the period, this trend remained the same.
📉 It can be seen that during the entire period, the number of elephants in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos remained almost the same. In India, the number of elephants was nearly 10,000 in 1994, which drastically decreased to 7,500 in 2007. Similarly, in Malaysia, there were around 2,500 elephants in 1994, which dropped to almost half by 2007.
📈 Additionally, only in China did the number of elephants increase in 2007 compared to 1994. The number of elephants in Sri Lanka and Myanmar slightly decreased from the beginning to 2007. Thailand also experienced a reduction in elephants, with numbers dropping from approximately 2,500 in 1994 to significantly lower in 2007.
