The graphs below provide information on global population figures and figures for urban populations in different world regions. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The given line graph represents the world population growth from 1800 to 2100 with some predictions. In contrast, in the bar graph, the comparison is made of developed and developing countries population growth between 2015 to 2040. Millions of people have the data over the years. Overall, we can say that the population will increase till 2050, and then it will start decreasing. Population growth will be seen just in developing areas of the world.
1000 population was recorded till 1940. After that, it started showing a gradual increment in population till 1950 to reach the population
In 2000 mark. Within the next 50 years, the population showed a massive hike to cross the population of 6000. It was predicted that people on earth will be over 8000 on earth. After that population started decreasing, it was predicted that the population would be around 6700 in 2100.
The data clearly shows that the population of developed regions is stead in the past and prediction says the same. From 2015 to 2040 population was recorded at 1100, whereas, in developing areas, a constant increment in population was recorded—2200 population there in 2015. After five years, it was recorded at 2500. Now it was predicted to be 2900 in 2025. It was predicted that there would be linear growth by 2040, and the population would be at 4000.
