The given charts display the percentage of pop, rock, and classical music album purchasers based on gender as well as age in Britain. It is clear that the dominant purchasers are men, and the number of people who purchased pop and rock music is nearly similar.
The market of pop and rock music albums is mainly dominated by men, with a purchase record of 28%. This percentage is 10 per cent higher compared to females. On the other hand, the classical music buyers, both men and women, are just less than 10%, with slight differences between their percentages.
The elderly over 45 years old extremely prefer to buy classical music, reaching up to 20%, highest amongst the other age groups. In contrast, younger people are seen buying fewer albums in the case of classical music. The number of people who purchased pop and rock music between the age of 16 and 34 is almost the same, approximately 30%. The older age group (34-44) who bought the same is almost 5%.
