The news is an important source of knowledge for all of us about the world, especially in this era of technology. Journalists are mainly responsible to bring this news to us but not all of them are true to their responsibilities and ethics. How much can we trust the journalists? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.


It is irrefutable that the news is spreading like wildfire in today’s technology in every nook and corner. Moreover, news plays a vital role and is the main source of knowledge for all individuals regarding the universe. Especially, journalists have major obligations to carry out the news to us. Some dwellers believe that all of the news is not a fact to their responsibilities and ethics. In this essay, I intend to depict the reasons for trusting the journalists along with relevant illustrations.

Firstly, the technology was developed at an alarming rate, mainly regarding news updates. Journalists are the ones who dare to go to the entire world and gather the news, which can be either political or educational or corruption like many. Moreover, if we trust and maintain entire faith in journalists, we can believe the news without any qualms. For instance, if the news is regarding political or any of the issues, they are the ones who provide news as fast as an express train. Furthermore, the news cannot be 100 per cent fact or true, and we have to believe in them because they are the real witness to the issues.

Secondly, if the news is related to personal or professional, it has to be at a certain limit to share the news with the public. Owing to, the particular news can affect the peoples or the persons’ life and can lead to a plethora of difficulties in facing to the citizens. For instance, sharing news to the public can not be an offence but, they have to take certain permissions for sharing. Generally, the news channels are considering only their TRP ratings irrespective of the individuals.

To conclude, Although the news can affect people’s lives, yet the journalists have to do their responsibilities in sharing of news and need to follow some ethics without harming any of the citizens.
