The News Is an Important Source of Knowledge for All of Us About the World

The news is an important source of knowledge for all of us about the world, especially in this era of technology. Journalists are mainly responsible to bring this news to us but not all of them are true to their responsibilities and ethics. How much can we trust the journalists? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.

The piece of information which gives the knowledge about a particular area or a person can be considered news. It is a vital and integral part of the which the journalists bring up. However, it is very sad to know that the job of most journalists is highly unethical these days, and a discussion on this point of view will take place in the upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, corruption is the root factor of this cause. For example, if a journalist has some piece of information which is fatal for the career of a celebrity, then he or she can bribe a lot more money to not telecast it. Secondly, due to the rise of crime, honest journalists are not able to telecast the true events. Lastly, to gain popularity and to increase the television rating points (TRP), news channels usually fabricate the news and telecast it, which is highly unethical.

To combat these problems, the higher authorities should take some strict and stringent steps. For instance, to make some laws to favour honest journalists so that their dignity and life should be protected from crime. In addition to this, strict action should be taken if someone is caught bribing. Moreover, it is the duty of the media and its all respective members to pursue their jobs or duties with a significant amount of dignity and truth.

In conclusion, being a responsible citizen of society, one should believe in the things that have some sort of logic rather than relying on rumours and spreading it. In my opinion, news channels should evaluate the news before telecasting it on the different media platforms.
