The Number of Animals and Plants Is Declining

In many countries, the number of animals and plants is declining. Why do you think this is happening? How can this issue be solved?

It has been noticed that the number of flora and fauna is dwindling. There are many reasons behind this extinction. Out of many reasons, inhuman activities are the prime factor. This problem can be tackled by creating awareness among people, and governments strict rules can do a lot to escape plants and rare species from extinction.

First off, inhuman activities are more responsible for making plant and animal species endangered. To elaborate, human beings try to change the environment to fit the needs of society. Thus facilitating their lifestyle and for the sake of urbanisation, deforestation takes place. Due to cut down of trees, many species lost their habitat and migrated to other sites, where they did not get a suitable environment. Thus, they die slowly. For instance, about 80% of biodiversity can be found in tropical forests, yet 13 million hectares are disappearing each year. Moving further, ocean acidification is another factor that causes certain species to die due to the burning of fossil fuels. Fossil fuels create a lot of toxic gases that are harmful to biodiversity. To exemplify, coral reefs are also going to extinct. These are the sources for the people to entertain, employment as well as head of food. But, surprisingly, 70% of reefs have already been destroyed or are now threatened each year.

Furthermore, there is a high need to protect our vegetation as well as animal species. Making people aware of their horrific activities that are inappropriate to the environment can help alot in restoring the environment. Instead of deforestation, afforestation is the solution to this problem. Besides, controlling the consumption of conventional fuels can assist alot. For instance, if people do not use vehicles that run on petrol or diesel, and they use electric cars, cars that are on CNG gas, the environment can be protected, and this can save our wildlife as well as plant species.

To conclude, considering the above analysis, it is ostensible that human intervention is the predominant reason and awareness among people to use vehicles less than burn fossil fuels excessively is another measure that can save our wildlife. In this way, nature can be preserved, and if nature is unspoiled, then human survival is possible on this planet.
