The Table shows how many international students study in Canada and the united states by country of origin.

The table depicts the number of international students who studied in Canada and the USA by country of origin in 2002 and 2003. Overall, in Canada, the Chinese had the highest increase change whilst in the USA, the Canadians had the biggest positive change.

In Canada, India had the least number of students in both years under review in comparison to the other countries. In 2002 it had 2.100 students, and the number went up by 35% to 2,835students. The Chinese were 5400 in 2002 and upsurged by 45% to 7850 students in 2003, and it had the greatest positive of them all. The USA students only went up by 9% from 5000 to 5450 at the end, and it had the least increase percentage of the 3.

In the USA, the number of Indian students dropped by 9%, that is from 200 000pupils in 2002 down to 182 000 by 2003, and this was the only country with a negative change. The Chinese students stood at 110 000 in 2002 and ended at 116 600, giving an increase of 6%. The Canadians just increased by 1% more than the Chinese percentage.

In the USA the total change percentage was at positive 2% whilst in Canada, it was 17%.
