The Tendency of Human Beings to Copy One Another Is Shown in The Popularity of Fashion Clothes and Consumer Goods (1)

The tendency of human beings to copy one another is shown in the popularity of fashion clothes and consumer goods. To What extent do you agree or disagree?

People believe that human beings have the propensity of emulating one another, and this has been said to be evidenced by the popularity of things like clothes and consumable goods. One of the factors that affect human behaviour and actions is social influence; that is, their actions are influenced by other people actions because man is social in nature. Therefore I totally agree with the statement that man is imitating in nature.

Competition of status and class prone people to copying one another’s character; for example, An actor will want to buy expensive clothes and watch just to prove to the colleagues his financial net worth. This, in return, will make his colleagues acquire the same materials or more to show that they have the same financial status. Also, their fans will want to follow the trend because of the love they have for them.

In addition, a culture that is the way of life of a particular group explains the reason why men have the likelihood of imitating themselves. Cultural practices of an area can make people consume and use the same thing. For example, It is the culture of Christians to cover their head when going to church. Therefore people have the tendency of using what others use to cover their heads.

In conclusion, human beings have the disposition of emulating one another because of their social relationships, and this is why some clothes and other consumables are common.
