You Have Just Spent a Week with A Friend on Holiday. when You Got Home,

You have just spent a week with a friend on holiday. When you got home, you realised you had left your wallet there. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

  • thank your friend for the holiday
  • explain that you left your wallet in their house
  • give them instructions on how to send it back to you

Dear John,

How are you? Thank you again for making my vacations so exciting. One week was not enough to spend time at your place. It passed so quickly. The purpose of writing to you so early is that I’ve left my wallet in your cupboard.

Let me tell you that when we were enjoying a cup of joe. Suddenly my phone rang, and it fell on my clothes. So, I changed my evening dress, and I kept my wallet on the upper shelf of your cupboard. On the very next day, I dressed up; but I forgot to pick it up from there.

To be honest, I don’t mean to write to send it to me immediately. You can check your cupboard, and it might be lying there. I might have need of it in the coming days because it contained all my credit cards and my driving licence. I can manage for 2-3 days. However, for the later transactions, I have a dire need of it. I want you to send it to me by speed post or by courier. Suppose you can hand it over to one of my cousins, who is coming for a business meeting in Shimla. I am able to collect it. I hope we’ll have another fun time in the foreseeable future.

I am hoping to see you soon.

Yours Loving,
