Sample Answer: You Share an Apartment with Another Student, but This Arrangement Has Several Drawbacks
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to let you know about some problems I have been having with my current roommate and to ask for a change of accommodation if possible.
I share Room 204 in the West Hall with another student. Initially, everything seemed fine, but over the past few weeks, several issues have made it increasingly complex for me to concentrate on my studies and rest properly.
The main problem is that my roommate often plays loud music late at night, even after I have asked him several times to lower the volume. Additionally, he frequently invites friends over, which makes the room crowded and noisy. I also find that he does not maintain cleanliness, leaving food and clothes scattered around the room, which creates an unpleasant environment.
Due to these disturbances, I have been struggling to focus on my coursework and have been losing sleep. I would be very grateful if you could move me to a single room or to another shared room with a more responsible student. A quieter space would help me perform better academically.
Thank you very much for your understanding and assistance. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Yours faithfully,
Manpreet Singh
