Question 1. Are there many advertisements in your country?
Answer – Definitely, there are. Nowadays, it’s normal to see ads almost everywhere, at the roadside on billboards, banners, and posters, and then TV and radio ads. Moreover, online advertisements on social media platforms are in rage in my country. For example, getting 4-5 ads popped up while surfing the internet for 5-10 minutes is standard.
Question 2. Why do you think there are so many advertisements now?
Answer – With the increase in globalisation, brands have their presence everywhere which has heightened the competition. So, it is not wrong to say that people have more choices to pick from. For this, there is a race among different brands to promote their products to lure consumers. That’s why there are so many advertisements now.
Question 3. What are the various places where we see advertisements?
Answer – Well, if you ask me, ads are everywhere. They appear all over the place, from streets to social media. Some of the main channels are roadside billboards, flyers, banners, TV, radio, social media and websites. It could be in the form of a written or a video.
Question 4. How do you feel about advertisements?
Answer – To be honest, I have mixed feelings about this topic. Product advertisements have both pros and cons. On the positive side, ads not only give information about the new product but also explain the working of the product. It gives people a wide array of choices to pick the product based on their budget and preferences. On the downside, most of the ads are overrated and misguide people by luring them with marketing gimmicks. In particular, I get annoyed by the telemarketing calls for credit cards or personal loans, which is uncalled for.
Question 5. Do you like advertisements?
Answer – Well, as I said earlier, I am on the fence. While I agree with the range of benefits provided by the advertisement, I believe nowadays, and you cannot rely on them for your shopping. I like catchy slogans the manufacturers invent to boost up their sales.
Question 6. What kind of advertisement do you like the most?
Answer – Well, I love advertisements related to apparel, fashion, footwear, or electronics that inform customers about the upcoming sales and special offers running in their stores or websites. For example, online retailers like amazon often do intense advertisements of its great mega yearly sale.
Question 7. Have you ever bought something because of an advertisement?
Answer – Indeed, on several occasions. My recent purchase is a hairdryer with all the latest functions, for which I came across its ad while surfing through the internet a few months ago. It was a detailed video where they have explained all features profoundly.
Question 8. Do you watch advertisements from beginning to end?
Answer – Well, that depends on my mood and interest. If I come across any new product that intrigues me, I often watch the ad complete as it usually explains the feature in detail. However, if I am tired and development doesn’t look attractive, I don’t pay much heed and skip it in online ads.
