Decision-making is an art because everyone has to make decisions that could either have a positive effect or a negative effect on his life.
So, one should take any decision very carefully because once you make a decision, it could affect your life. Today, I would like to talk about a difficult decision which I made when I had completed my graduation.
It was the decision to take admission to the university because I wanted to do a masters in the English language.
At the same time, my father was going to do the upper course for the post of sub-inspector in the Punjab Police. There were four members in the house at that time: my father, mother, sister, and me.
I wanted to do my master’s at Punjab University Chandigarh. I was in a jumbled situation at that time because my father had already gone to Filore Police Academy.
If I would have gone to the university, then my mother and sister would have been alone at the house. So, I had to change my decision and was admitted to the correspondence department, that is, distance education.
I made this difficult decision for the sake of my family, but I lost the experience and guidance which I could have received from the experienced staff in the English department of the university.
I did a masters in the English language by staying at home, but I did not attain the percentage in marks which I could have achieved if I had been admitted in the university. I always regret this difficult decision, but I was helpless to do anything, keeping in view the circumstances.
