Environmental Problems Such as Pollution and Climate Change Affect All the People in The World (2) (1)

Environmental problems such as pollution and climate change affect all the people in the world. While global solutions are required to mitigate these problems, very few have been suggested. Why is there only a small number of solutions? How can these problems be resolved or mitigated?

Mankind has been affected by environmental hazards such as contamination and global warming. There are a limited number of suggestions on how these effects can be reduced globally, despite the need for a global response. Although this needs to be treated with urgency, it seems the whole world is waiting for some nations to take action hence the few ideas being brought forward; however, these environmental dangers can be countered by raising individual awareness leading to implementation solutions.

On the one hand, a global approach seems to be causing all countries to expect the other to do something about these problems. This has led to a reduced number of suggestions brought about to mitigate climate change. For example, some third world countries believe that the developed countries have led to these problems and should take up responsibility for the consequences.

However, there are effective strategies that can be implemented at the individual level. There has to be behaviour change, and this can be done by raising awareness of the environmental danger we are all faced with. Research has shown that if everyone participates by making small changes, it can lead to a big impact. They can do this by using renewable energy such as solar rather than using electricity, using public transport instead of using personal cars, recycling waste and proper disposal of waste.

To conclude, it is our responsibility as individuals to be involved in reducing the effects of contamination and climate change. A global intervention seems not to be enough to bring the change we so desperately need.
