Some Children Nowadays Take Sports Seriously While Others Play Sports in Their Free Time. Is This a Positive or Negative Development?
A number of youngsters 🏃♂️ recently have been seen participating in sporting activities more seriously, while some others engage in sports during their free time. While this can be widely encouraged, I believe that it is a positive development, and I will explain why in the course of this essay.
🌟 The growing population brings with it new interests and vigour. For a child who has chosen a career path in sports, it is advisable that they dedicate more time to becoming proficient in it. Others who do not find sports as attractive can be encouraged to use sports as a form of leisure. For example, there is a saying that goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.” These sporting activities can serve as a way to re-energize the brain and enhance focus.
Additionally, children who have no interest in sports but can still spare their free time to participate should not be scolded. For instance, a child who is more interested in engineering will barely have time for sports. However, this child can spend more time experimenting in their field of interest.
In conclusion, while exercise and leisure are beneficial, they should not take away valuable time from important activities. Instead, free time can be effectively used for such recreational purposes.
