A foreign language is mandatory to learn while talking with someone formally, and it plays a crucial role in everyone’s life. So everyone should learn various languages apart from their native language. Here I am going to describe a time when I first talked in a foreign language. Actually, during my graduation, when I was doing my bachelor’s degree in 2019, I cleared some tests for an interview, and I got selected for the interview.
Initially, I got apprehensive about how can talk in English as I am a resident of Punjab, so I was much familiar with the Punjabi language at that time, and moreover, my background was Punjabi. When I grew up, day by day, I came to learn many words and pronunciations of English then I got a bit more confident.
But at the time of an interview, I was much depressed and panicked. How can I clear this. It was a major task for me. Then my friend came to me and consoled me that you are brilliant and intelligent who cleared a test and she also told me that now you have to clear an interview without any hesitation.
She also provided an abundant amount of tips, and I learned and grasped quickly, and after that, I felt more confident. On the day of the interview, when I sat down in front of the interviewer, I never felt daunted. I talked in English well, and the interviewer was also impressed by my answers.
I felt over the moon at that time because my interview was done successfully. Fortunately, I got an offer letter for joining. That was immense happiness and a pleasurable moment for me, and I will never forget that day that made me memorable. Now I can easily talk with the foreigners in my college and never hesitate to speak anything.

Question 1:- At what age should children start learning a foreign language?
Children can start learning foreign languages when they are mature enough, and those children can learn better who have more brainstorming power, who can easily understand. Age doesn’t matter at all according to my perspective if they are a good learner and have the ability to learn many foreign languages, then they can learn easily.
Question 2:- Which skill is more important, speaking or writing?
According to my perspective, both skills are required, and children should have to learn both. While speaking, they never feel hesitation, and with the help of writing, they can easily remember things for a prolonged period of time.
Question 3:- Does a person still need to learn another language if he is good at English?
Yes, if I take an instance of mine as I am now confident in English meanwhile I am learning french which is also necessary if I want to study abroad like in Quebec French is mandatory.
Question 4:- Do you think minority languages will disappear?
Yes, the majority of languages will disappear soon in the forthcoming future. Those languages are disappearing, generally spoken by less than 10,000 individuals.
