The charts below show changes in the proportion of energy produced from different resources in a country in 1985 and 2003. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant.

Presented is the pie chart illustrating the percentage of energy generated from various sources in a particular nation over the period of 18 years commencing in 1985.

It is evident that the use of natural gas, coal another renewable to produce energy witnessed an upward trend, whereas that of nuclear and oil had a facet pattern.

Firstly, although the proportion of energy produced from it decreased significantly from 52% to 39%, oil was the major source of energy production throughout the researched timescale. The same pattern but to a lesser extent also took place in the use of nuclear with a slight decline of approximately 5% from 22% to 17%.

Secondly, the usage of natural gas and coal grew from 13% to 8% and from 13% to 23% over the time period, respectively. Remarkably, only the percentage of energy generated from hydrogen remained stable at 4%, while the figure of other renewable had a mere growth of 3% from 1% to 4% during 18 years period.
