You Live with a Roommate at University but You Have Trouble Studying

You live with a roommate at university, but you have trouble studying because of a problem related to your roommate. Write a letter to an administrator at your university and include:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to let you know that I am unhappy with my living conditions. Although the room itself is cosy and comfortable, my current roommate is just intolerable and making it almost difficult for me to live.

Let me explain my situation clearly. It was quite convenient for me when I first moved in as my old roommate was nice, calm, and considerate. However, my current roommate stays up all night and plays incessantly loud music, which is causing so much disturbance to me. Because of this, I have not been able to sleep properly and concentrate on my studies.

It would be great if you could please transfer her or me to another room. As long as the person is quiet and concerned for others’ issues, I am fine to live with; it does not matter who it is. I hope you will consider the solution favourably to make sure my accommodation is noise-free and friendly.

I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Yours Faithfully,
