Describe a Leisure Facility You Would Like to Have in Your Hometown.

  • What Is It?
  • Where Is It?
  • When You Go There?
  • And how do You Feel About It?

In this modern era, there are a number of free time activities in which one can participate. These activities are not only sources of fun, enjoyment, and ways to spend free time, but one can also pursue his career through these activities.

Many leisure activities are available in my hometown, but the leisure facility that I would like to have in my home city is a theatre for Punjabi drama and for practising events related to the rich culture and traditions of Punjab, especially drama and novels πŸŽπŸ“š.

In my college days, when I was doing my graduation, I always participated in drama competitions. Bhupinder Singh Pali, our professor of Punjabi literature and a renowned dramatist and writer, always encouraged us to participate in drama classes.

With his motivation, we once participated in a drama competition that was played during a zonal youth festival organized in our college, D.M. College Moga, by Punjab University Chandigarh. We won the first prize in that play πŸ†.

But nowadays, with the advent of mobile phones and easily available and cheap internet facilities, the youth of Punjab are drifting away from their culture and traditions day by day. They keep themselves always busy on social websites.

So, the need of the time is to reconnect them to the roots of their culture, and for this purpose, I would like to have a theatre in my city where young people and students can learn to play drama.

In this way, they not only attach to their culture but also keep themselves busy, which keeps them away from bad habits 🎭.
