It was a time when my younger brother excelled in his secondary education, achieving the highest marks in the entire class π«π. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to fulfill the promise I had made to him before his exams. I’d like to share this story briefly with you.
My younger brother is incredibly passionate about mobile phones π±, and owning the latest model of an Apple iPhone was his ultimate dream.
He had been saving money for a long time, especially when he heard about the launch of the latest iPhone X. For three months, I observed his growing obsession with it, to the point where he lost focus on his studies.
With the exams approaching, and his lack of concern for his studies becoming apparent, I was worried about his education π.
Then, I found the perfect way to reignite his interest in studying. I promised him that if he achieved good marks in his secondary exams, I would financially support him in buying that mobile phone.
Realizing that it was impossible to buy the latest mobile phone with his limited savings, he saw this as a motivating opportunity and dedicated himself to his studies.
His hard work paid off, and he achieved higher marks than anyone else in his class, eagerly reminding me of my promise.
However, due to a severe downturn in the stock market, my business was on the brink of bankruptcy, and I was left with no money πΌπ.
It was a stressful situation, as my business was nearly extinct. Regrettably, I had to tell him that I was unable to purchase the latest model for him. He burst into tears and retreated to his room without uttering a single word.
