Nowadays the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships that people make? Has this been a positive or negative development?
In the current scenario, the way individuals stay in contact with each other is different from the past because of technological advancement. The Internet is a revolutionary invention which is helpful to be in touch with our loved ones or business interactions. In my opinion, it is mostly a positive change. In the following essay, I will discuss how technology affected relations and why I think it is a positive development.
Firstly, Technological advances are turned out to be a boon for many individuals who stay away from family. It is also beneficial to stay in touch with friends we can not meet for longer. There are many apps like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Twitter through which people can interact with each other. Moreover, with the help of Twitter and Instagram, people can interact with celebrities or famous personalities they admire. Also, these technological inventions are easy to learn, so the old generation can become familiar with them. For instance, Many grandparents make a video call to their grandchildren who stay abroad. However, because of getting connected online, people have become less social, which could be one drawback of online connectivity, but Overall it is a useful invention.
Secondly, with technology’s help, many business meetings are also possible without being present at the location. One can have a meeting with a client who is sitting overseas and expanding their business. It has also made it possible to work from home, which was advantageous at the time of the Corona outbreak. However, because of working from home, bond development between office colleagues is not as strong as before.
In my opinion, the advantages of connecting online are more than disadvantages, such as being in touch with people you love, making new friends or continuing work from home when it is impossible to work from the office. However, one should be cautious while making new friends online as there are chances that it could be a trap for the person.
To conclude, technology has changed how people interact, and the Internet is key to staying connected. It made it easy to be in touch with friends, family or clients, and I believe it is a positive trait.
