Recent IELTS Speaking Part 1 Questions With Answers: Clothes and Fashion

Question 1. Are you very interested in fashion and clothes?

Answer – Being honest, clothes and fashion is the last thing I would think about; I am more of a beginner in that case. I prefer being comfortable to being in fashion.

Question 2. Do you have a lot of nice clothes?

Answer – Yes, I do own nice clothes that I wear to weddings, parties, and casual meet up with friends.

Question 3. What kind(s) of clothes do you usually wear?

Answer – I usually stay at home, so I prefer wearing something comfortable like loose T-shirts and pyjamas.

Question 4. Would you say clothes are expensive in your country?

Answer – Well, it depends nowadays. Like every country, they have expensive markets and markets where you can find them cheaply. It ultimately depends on individual preference. So, yes, we do have expensive clothes too.

Question 5. Do you like to wear fashionable clothes?

Answer – Yes and no. Like I obviously want to stay up-to-date with fashion but at the same time I won’t compromise on being comfortable and wouldn’t wear anything that is in fashion… like I still love wearing baggy pants which I guess were famous in the 90s.

Question 6. Is there anything that you used to wear in the past that you don’t wear now?

Answer – No, there’s nothing as such I have a mix of everything: sarees, T-shirts, shirts, pants etc.

Question 7. How often do you go shopping for clothes?

Answer – hmmm. Once a year or if I find something at a very great price. It also depends on the clothes I have if they are worn out or if I have a function coming up.

Question 8. Do you like shopping for clothes?

Answer – Actually, I usually ask my sister to choose for me as she has better taste than me.

Question 9. How often do you buy clothes online?

Answer – I prefer online shopping mostly as it’s easy and you can shop from the comfort of your home. So I buy whenever there’s a good sale on the sites.

Question 10. Do you plan to buy any designer (or name-brand=) clothes?

Answer – No, I have never been into brands. I feel like you can get better designs in unbranded clothes too.
