Overall, it is clearly visible from the line chart that the proportion of the population aged 65 years and over will be increased in Japan while in the USA will fluctuate and the lowest percentage of the population aged 65 years and over in a given period.

Considering the given data, in the upcoming year 2040, Japan will have the highest percentage of older people, with 28%. In addition, when the USA had the highest percentage of aged people while Japan had the lowest after the ageing population, the United States grew drastically and reached up to 15% in the year 2000. Similarly, in Sweden, the percentage of aged people grew from 7% in 1940 to 20% in 2000 and then reached a peak of 25% in 2040.

In short, the line graph clearly shows that the ratio of the age population will increase in 2040.
