Universities Should Accept Equal Numbers of Male and Female Students in Every Subject

Universities should accept equal numbers of male and female students in every subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Some people argue that at universities, there should be the same number of male and female learners in every subject. This essay delves into its advantage and disadvantage before reaching any decision.

On the one hand, considering the equal amount of male and female in each subject have few advantages such as. Firstly, there are many courses in which females are lacking because of the great involvement of boys compared to girls, like engineering and due to lack of encouragement and accompany of other females, the participation of girls declined. If equal seats are reserved for males and females, then problems like this can be eliminated. Every gender will get a chance to participate equally.

On the other hand, providing same number of seats to males and females can affect the education system and students negatively. Initially, a few subject-specific genders can perform better than others. To explain it, it is seen that subjects like home science, in which cooking and other household things are taught, are best suited for females and subjects related to physical power are mainly considered best for boys. If seats are equally assigned, then seats become limited for both gender in their expertise subject and desired no. of people cannot be able to enrol in it.

To conclude, it is seen that the practice of accepting equal no. of males and females in universities for every course is good in a few aspects but disadvantageous in many other ways. So, I believe that an equal number of seats for both males and females is not a good action to take.
