The only way to reduce the amount of traffic in cities today is by reducing the need for people to travel from home for work, education or shopping. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, many major cities face traffic congestion on their busy road. Moreover, some people believe in eliminating the need for people to commute from home for workplace, education or shopping purposes. In my opinion, I disagree entirely with this statement. This essay will further explain the reason behind my viewpoint.

This passage will shed some light on why people commute to their workplaces. To begin with, even though, work from home is sound good, some profession doing work from home there work place. For example, doctors, engineers, and other Public Service officials present their work to serve people. Moreover, if all people do e-commerce shopping, then traditional shops and stores decrease their business, and they go bankrupt.

In addition, many professional courses require practical knowledge for some experiments. Many chemistries are beneficial not doing our home. So, people compulsory attend and commute chemistry lab for this. Secondly, working from home directly affects our mental health. Many people fall into depression and attempt suicide. For instance, in today’s time, many children play video games instead of playing outdoor games. They only play video games and do not live to go out and make friends. In order to do so, they feel depressed and attempt suicide. So, this is the opposing point of walking from home.

To conclude, working from home is good for the near future, but in the long term, this will affect people’s social life and tell their mental stage. Many people feel they are cut off from the world or fall into depression. However, many physical stores close due to online shopping. So, this is a negative impact on people as well as local businesses.
