Companies also give discounts on auspicious occasions such as Diwali, Holi and Christmas. People even wait for festival seasons to buy new products at discounted prices. Moreover, it is considered good if people buy new cars, mobile phones and clothes during festive seasons. Even it can be easily seen that the sales of all products increase by 50% during the festive season due to the discounts offered by the companies. Therefore, it is the most suitable way because companies need not spend thousands of rupees on other marketing strategies to enhance their sales.
