Wild animals have no place in the 21st century, so protecting them is a waste of resources. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
The rate at which wildlife existence is being endangered is highly unprecedented in present times. As a result, there is a contentious argument over whether protecting wildlife is an absolute waste of time, energy and money. This essay shall explain why I completely disagree with this notion. Protecting them helps save nature and also provides people with knowledge of the unknown behaviour of wild organisms.
First of all, wildlife forms an integral part of this planet and keeping them safe from harm means saving our natural environment. Undoubtedly, nature is very beautiful with these creatures found in the forests, skies and water bodies. As such, leaving them to go into extinction means putting nature in devastating danger. What’s more, humans learn plenty of things from these wild creatures. For instance, scientists learned from the flying bird to invent aeroplanes.
Second of all, these living organisms enable researchers to study their behavioural patterns that provide us with information about how they typically behave within their prospective ecosystem. Although scientists are discovering new things around the clock, the world would be in great danger when these organisms become extinct. This would make it extremely challenging for them to know the usual lifestyle of these organisms, which is more reason why protecting them should be our greatest priority. To buttress this point, there are countless documentaries made by biologists about various living creatures like lions, buffaloes, eagles and monkeys that live in forests, deserts and the like.
In conclusion, I reiterate that it is never a waste of human effort to preserve the lives of wild animals as this helps save our planet and broaden human horizons, particularly the youth.
