Sample Answer of There is a Public Park Near Where You Live

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my deep agony over the decision made by the local council to vend the wonderland park to a property developer for the construction of a shopping mall. It would be a great help if you give some space to my words in your leading newspaper ‘The Times’ to make people aware of this planning.

I Karamjeet Kaur, resident of Model Town Colony, have been living here since 2011. I was compelled to live here by the natural beauty of the town as the place where I currently live is full of greenery; however, the cherry on the cake is its park.

The beauty of the park is incomparable. All and Sundry usually go to this park for different purposes like walking, spending time in the lap of nature. On top of that, it is a great asset to sports aficionados. Thus, demolishing this park for a shopping mall will make people not only passive but also be a cause of their unhappy life.

If the council goes ahead with its plan, I will be left with no alternative but to raise this matter to higher authorities for the welfare of the community.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,

  1. Dear Sir / Madam,

I am Mr. Singh, a resident of the HB colony, who would like to draw your attention to a park, which is in talks for privatization. Hence We seek your urgent intervention into this matter and do the needful.

The HB colony is the heart of the city and has seen enormous growth over the years. Simultaneously, residents used the park facilities to benefit mentally and physically as it has widespread space for walking as well as activities for entertainment. However, recently a private company has auctioned it and wants to demolish the park and erect an amusement park.

Although we have to abide by the government’s decision, the residents are against this new idea and condemn this, as the park is very beneficial to nearby inhabitants. Firstly, senior citizens utilize it for walking and exercising. Secondly, kids use the activities zone. Most importantly, as it has an open-air auditorium we sometimes conduct community gatherings for the welfare of the society.

I would be grateful If you could publish this issue in your public pulse activity column, so it would be taken to the higher authorities. In case if the council sticks to its plan of refurbishing the park, the locals would be making an agitation to add power to our voice to stop the park from being diverted into the private sector.

    Awaiting a positive response.

    Yours sincerely,
    Mr. Singh
